Wax Dipped Star Ornaments

In this workshop, participants will craft wax-dipped paper stars, commonly known as German Froebel stars, Moravian stars, or origami stars. These stars have long been cherished in Nordic and Central European holiday traditions for their simple, handmade beauty.  We will begin by folding and weaving paper strips to form the iconic points of the star. Once the stars are assembled, we’ll dip them in melted wax, which adds strength and gives them a beautiful, glossy finish. This process transforms them into durable ornaments that can be treasured for years to come.  We will make a minimum of 2 stars and up to 4 as time allows. Supplies to make more stars at home will be available for purchase.  Suitable for Ages: 15+ and adults
