January 31, 2025 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
$35.00Discover the technique of inkle/band weaving in this beginner-friendly workshop. “Inkle” is a term that refers to a specific type of band or strip created on an inkle loom. These bands are often woven in colorful patterns and can vary in width, usually ranging from a half-inch to a few inches wide and several feet in length. Woven bands make great belts, bag straps, or even as harnesses for instruments due to their strength and ability to support weight. Other fun uses for inkle bands are bookmarks, keychains, headbands, or decorative edges for pillowcases or table runners. We love inkle weaving and think you will too!
In this workshop you will learn about pattern reading, yarn selection how to make a striped band. We will learn on a class loom and make samples during the workshop session. These samples can be used as a bookmark, keychain, bracelet, etc. All equipment and materials will provided.
